Simply Scan is a document-scanning utility by Cypress Technology (Cypress Group, LLC). It captures documents with your device's camera, stores them on your device, recognizes text on-device, and exports searchable PDFs. The free version is supported by a banner advertisement; a one-time purchase removes ads.
Everything you scan belongs to you and stays on your device. You are responsible for what you scan and for complying with applicable laws (for example, not scanning documents you have no right to copy). Because your scans exist only on your device, you are also responsible for your own backups — if you delete the app or lose the device, we cannot recover your documents.
Simply Scan is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While we work hard on capture quality, text recognition, and PDF output, we do not guarantee that scans, OCR text, or exports will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose — including legal, financial, or medical record-keeping. Always verify important documents against the original.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cypress Group, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including loss of documents or data.
The one-time "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's refund policies. It is a permanent unlock for your Google account and restores automatically on your devices.
These terms may be updated over time; the current version lives at this address with its effective date.
