Only on your device, in the app's private storage. Nothing is uploaded. Uninstalling the app deletes all scans, so export anything important first.
Simply Scan runs the camera itself, so it can find the page, straighten it and crop it as you go. It asks the first time you open the scanner — never at launch — and you can decline and still import pictures you already have. Pages never leave your device.
Tap Continuous at the top of the camera. Keep photographing pages and the counter climbs; tap Done when you're finished. Single captures one page and takes you straight to it.
Open the ⓘ About screen and choose "Remove ads" — it's a one-time purchase, no subscription, and restores automatically on any device signed into your Google account.
Open a scan → ⋮ → Page size to pick Letter, A4, or Original — and ⋮ → Adjust scan to pinch-zoom and position the image exactly where you want it on the page.
Text recognition runs in the background right after a scan is saved; give it a few seconds on long documents. Search matches both scan names and the text inside them.
