Simply QR Code Generator is provided by Cypress Technology LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Simply QR Code Generator Android application.
Our approach in one sentence: we aim to be as un-intrusive as possible — the app itself does not collect your personal information, and the only data processing beyond your device comes from advertising in the free version, which can be removed with a one-time purchase.
1. Information Entered Into the App
Simply QR Code Generator allows you to enter information such as text, website addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, messages, Wi-Fi network information, contact information, location coordinates, and other content for conversion into a QR code.
The content you enter is processed locally on your device to generate the QR code. Cypress Technology does not intentionally transmit, receive, store, or maintain a copy of the content you enter into the QR code generator.
You are responsible for the content you enter, save, display, or share.
2. Saved and Shared QR Codes
When you choose to save a QR code, the image is stored on your device using Android storage features. When you choose to share a QR code or a backup file, it is provided to the application or service you select through the Android sharing system. The privacy practices of the receiving application or service (for example, Google Drive) are governed by that provider's policies.
3. Advertising
The free version of Simply QR Code Generator may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or another disclosed advertising provider.
Advertising providers may automatically process certain information, including device identifiers, advertising identifiers, general device information, application interactions, diagnostic information, IP-derived approximate location, and information used for advertising, fraud prevention, security, measurement, and regulatory compliance.
Advertising information is handled according to the privacy policies and controls of the applicable advertising provider. Where required, the app requests your consent and provides options concerning personalized advertising, which you can revisit at any time via "Ad privacy options" in the app's settings.
Users may purchase an ad-free option through Google Play, when available.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. Cypress Technology does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information. Google may provide transaction status and purchase identifiers necessary to verify and restore a purchase.
5. Accounts
Simply QR Code Generator does not require you to create a user account.
6. Permissions
The app is designed to avoid requesting permissions that are not necessary for its functions. The specific permissions included in a released version may be viewed through the Android system settings and the application's Google Play listing.
7. Children
Simply QR Code Generator is a general-audience utility and is not specifically designed or directed toward children. Users should not place sensitive personal information concerning a child in a QR code unless they are authorized to do so and understand how the QR code will be used and shared.
8. Data Security
Reasonable measures are used to limit unnecessary collection and transmission of information. However, no application, device, storage system, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
A QR code can be copied, photographed, forwarded, or read by anyone who obtains access to it. Do not place passwords, payment information, medical information, government identification numbers, access credentials, or other sensitive information in a QR code unless you understand and accept the risks.
9. Third-Party Services
The app may use services provided by third parties, including Google Play services, Google Play Billing, and Google AdMob. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
