SIMPLY LIGHT
A flashlight, simply made.

Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026
The short version. Simply Light is a flashlight. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and it collects nothing about you itself. Your settings (brightness, color, preferences) stay on your phone. The free version shows one small banner ad served by Google AdMob, which is the only thing in the app that involves any data — and a one-time Premium purchase removes it entirely.

1. What Simply Light stores on your device

Only your app settings, saved locally on your phone:

None of this leaves your device, and we operate no servers. Uninstalling the app erases it.

2. Permissions

Simply Light controls the camera flash (LED torch) through Android's torch interface, which does not require the camera permission — the app never uses the camera itself, and it takes no photos or video. The app requests no location, contacts, storage, or microphone access.

3. Advertising (free version only)

The free version shows a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your advertising identifier, IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), the app shows Google's consent form (UMP) before any ads load, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad preferences inside the app.

4. Premium purchase

Premium is a one-time purchase (no subscription) sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google — we never receive or store your payment details. The app only learns from Google Play Billing whether you own the purchase, so it can remove ads. Once you're Premium, the app initializes no advertising code at all.

5. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts

Simply Light contains no third-party analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs of our own, and no behavioral tracking. You never create an account or sign in.

6. Children

Simply Light is a general-audience utility. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The only data flow in the app (advertising) is operated by Google under the settings described above.

7. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll revise the effective date above and post the new version here.
