Everything you enter is stored on your phone. There are no accounts, and we operate no server that your data is sent to.
The free version shows one banner ad, served by Google AdMob (on the batch list only); buying Remove ads removes it. Google Play handles that purchase. None of your data goes to either of them.
The app keeps the following in storage that belongs to it on your own device:
The app opts out of Android's cloud backup and phone-to-phone transfer, so no copy is made on your behalf. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Because we hold no copy, we cannot restore it for you.
Export backup (CSV) in Settings saves a file to a place you pick with Android's system file picker; it leaves your phone only if you put it somewhere that does. Restore from backup and Import BeerXML recipe read a file you pick.

Apart from the free version's AdMob banner, Simply Brew contains no analytics software. The ad never receives anything you have entered.
Send feedback in Settings opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. You can read and edit everything in it, including any picture you choose to attach, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
One banner, on the batch list only. There are no full-screen ads and no ads you have to watch.
Simply Brew requests no other permissions. It has no access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, notifications or other apps' files. Files you export or import go through Android's system file picker, which needs no permission and lets the app open only the file you choose. Brew-day timers work from the time on your phone and need no notification permission.
Simply Brew is about making beer and other alcoholic drinks. It is intended for adults of legal drinking age where they live, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request — but if you have a question, please write to us.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how data is handled, note it in the app's release notes.
